Your child gathers four friendly dinosaurs into a jungle band: Rex on drums, Steggy on triangle, Dippy on guitar and Trixie on trumpet. When everyone plays at once it turns into a noisy muddle, so your child stops the band and brings each dinosaur back in one at a time until the music sounds just right.
Four: a T-Rex, a Stegosaurus, a Diplodocus and a Triceratops. Each one arrives with the feature that makes it easy to recognise: the T-Rex's tiny arms and giant roar, the Stegosaurus's bony plates, the Diplodocus's long neck and the Triceratops's three horns and frill.
It's a story about teamwork and taking turns. Your child is the one who notices the noise is too much, asks everyone to stop, and shows the band how to listen to each other.
Yes. It's written in rhyme, and every instrument has its own sound (SHAKE, BOOM, TING, TWANG, TOOT) that builds up page by page, so little ones can join in with the noises and clap along.
No. The dinosaurs are friendly from the moment they appear. Rex arrives with a stomp and a roar, then goes straight to his drum. The only wobble in the story is the band getting too loud, and your child is the one who fixes it.
The Dino Band is written for children aged 2 to 4. Each page is a short four-line rhyme with a sound to shout out, which suits a toddler's attention span, and the repeating beat makes it easy to join in. Older dinosaur fans will love seeing themselves lead the band too.
The Dino Band has one hero, so each copy is personalised for one child. Some of our other books let you add more characters, such as additional children, a parent, a grandparent or a pet. Each book's label shows who can be added.
Your child becomes the hero of the story. We create an original illustrated character based on your photo, drawn in the book's style, and weave their name and details throughout. Because it's an illustrated character, it's an artistic interpretation rather than an exact photographic likeness, and that's part of the magic.
Yes. For each book, you can browse sample illustrations and a full example book so you can see exactly what the finished product looks like before ordering. You'll also see a preview image featuring your child. Once you place your order, your child's personalised version is then created just for you.
Your child's privacy matters to us more than anything. We use the photo for one purpose only, to create your child's character, and the moment that's done, the photo is deleted immediately. We don't store it, archive it, or use it for anything else.
One clear, well-lit photo where your child's face is fully visible and facing the camera. Avoid sunglasses, hats, or anything covering the face. A bright, sharp, front-on photo gives the best result.
